Users
Users represent individual people. They must have unique email addresses, and should be connected to a client account.
Adding Users to a Client
We very strongly recommend adding additional user accounts to a client through the Client -> Edit path. Click “Add Invitee” at the bottom to connect the new user to the client account. This sends an invitation email to the user, where they can set a password of their own.
Creating new Admins
Admins can see all clients, all users, and all files, and create new clients and users, too. By convention, admins belong to the Siegel & Callahan client account. Just checkbox “admin” to set this privledge.
Overriding a user’s password
You can set a specific user’s password. However, the recommended method is to ask the user to reset her own lost password. This link appears on the login screen (“Forgot your password?") which allows the user to set their own password.
How do we handle deletes?
If a user is deleted, her files remain, attached to her client record. Her name is replaced with “(deleted user)”.
